Joining Acumen Financial Planning in January 2023 and working in the Financial Services Industry since 2020, Andrew is a Financial Planner based in our Aberdeen Office. 

During his time with Acumen Financial Planning, Andrew has been working closely with our existing clients and new clients helping them to achieve their Goals and Objectives. 

He also is a presenter at our Ready, Set, Retire Seminars which educate and inform prospects on the services Acumen Financial Planning can offer. 

Andrew also worked as Financial Planner for SpringGen Advice Ltd helping the next generation of Investors create robust, secure and flexible Financial Plans.  

During his time at SpringGen Advice Ltd, Andrew collaborated with companies within TFPG including Acumen Employee Benefits and Medical & Dental to provide Financial Education Sessions to Firms in Aberdeen. 

Outside of the office, Andrew has a keen interest in Cars, Motorbikes and Motorsport, especially following Formula 1. But when he is not sitting down to watch a race, Andrew enjoys spending time with his Fiancée and their cocker spaniel, Freddie along with family and friends. 

What do you like most about working at Acumen Financial Planning? 

“Every client has their own unique Financial Journey with needs and requirements varying on their goals and objectives. Whether it be young professionals starting their careers and looking to setup that first investment with SpringGen Advice Ltd, to clients looking to step back from work and begin to enjoy retirement, to clients in later life looking to pass on their wealth down to the next generations and create a family legacy.” 

“Having the knowledge and ability to help ensure clients can achieve their goals in life is the most satisfying part of being a Financial Planner.” 

What has been your proudest career achievement to date? 

“Passing all my exams first time to become a Financial Planner would be one career milestone. However, being able to demonstrate to clients they have achieved their lifelong goals and have that financial security to enjoy their lives will always be my proudest achievement.” 

Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to find out about you. 

“I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes and learning different techniques (even if it doesn’t come out quite right every time).”
