Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Training & Competence Supervisor will supervise the performance and competency of Planners and support development across Acumen Financial Planning and its subsidiaries.

Main Duties:

  • Supervise Planners in line with FCA training and competence requirements
  • Conduct quarterly KPI meetings with all Planners, this would involve travelling to all offices on a quarterly basis
  • Analyse KPI information and document to record keeping requirements
  • Prepare a quarterly report on all T&C activities completed
  • Carry out pre and post new business file checks on a monthly basis
  • Carry out annual review file checks on a monthly basis
  • Carry out observations of client meetings
  • Deliver training the Planners and wider team, to improve the quality
  • Management and documentation of individual training plans
  • Identify training needs for Planners and review quarterly with the Recruitment &Development Manager on training needs
  • Ongoing collation of documents required for certification
  • Maintain strong relationships with colleagues

Skills & Experience:

  • Ideally qualified to minimum DipPFS Level 4 or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Duty requirements
  • Financial Planning File checking experience
  • Awareness of FCA regulations specific to role
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills
  • Assessment skills
  • Maintain competence in core role, including CPD requirements
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
