Joining the support team, she trained as a Paraplanner, then became a Financial Planner in 2011, a Director of The Financial Planning Group in March 2022, and then a Director of Acumen Financial Planning in 2023. Rhian also gained her Certified Financial Planner status in 2023.
Working in all areas of Financial Planning, Rhian specialises in our Family Wealth services, Estate Planning, Succession Planning, Intergenerational Planning, Tax Planning, Trust Taxation and Investment Planning.
As a mum of two young children, Rhian’s time outside of work revolves around family time and her children’s activities rather than her own. However, when time allows, she enjoys cooking and playing the piano.
What attracted you to Acumen Financial Planning?
“Acumen Financial Planning had and still has a great reputation and ethos, and that attracted me to the role here and is why I am still here all these years later!”
What is your favourite thing about working at Acumen Financial Planning?
“I enjoy helping clients to achieve their financial goals and live life in the knowledge that they are on the right path financially. While there may be obstacles along the way, they have a plan in place that we can alter to support them through every turn and decision throughout their lives.”
What drives you in your career as a financial planner?
“I am passionate about using financial modelling to present to clients the potential within their wealth and the ability to achieve their goals. Whether that be retiring early or supporting the next generation throughout their lifetime and beyond. I work with a diverse set of clients and circumstances and continue to be inspired by their stories and plans.”
What has been your proudest career achievement to date?
“Providing reassurance to clients in times of uncertainty, as was the case when some clients faced redundancy with the oil and gas market downturn a few years ago. I also feel proud to have contributed to a multi-award-winning team.”
